Welcome

A  House with history

In 1838, when the first German state railway ran from Braunschweig to Wolfenbüttel, the Turkish Coffee House - built on the bastion of Karlsberg - was the romantic final stop and attraction within sight of the station.

Many tourists visited the quiet little village in the Harz Mountains foreland.

In the course of time, the old coffee house changed its face often.

During the construction of the hotel area in 1992 the old walls of the historical Turkish Coffee House were restored and made available for the public.

Today the "Historical Wine Grotto" is a unique part of our house.

Come in, visit us and enjoy the special athmosphere.

Our beautyful city

One of the "Wonderful Nine" in lower saxony is our WOLFENBÜTTEL. The traditional residence of the Welf Dukes with its more than 600 restored half-timbered houses.  Our house  ist located between the century-old Lesingtheatre and the green park Stadtgraben.

Just a few minuts from the city center with its inviting pedstrian area, the Duke's Castle, the Duke August Library and other attractions, yet quietly located, we offer a very good starting point for many activities. The Harz Mountains are only half an hour away by car, as well as many interesting cities such as Braunschweig, Königslutter, Goslar and Schöppenstedt.

Wolfenbüttel is also "on everyone's lips" internationally: The world-famous herbal liqueur JÄGERMEISTER has its headquarters here.
